This residence is located as a part of Morais City Township, which is located 1.5 kms from Trichy International airport. The site sits on the western peripheral boundary of the township facing the airport. The client came with just two main requirements, which was to have a Koi pond and to make maximum use of the west side view of airplanes’ landing & taking off from the airport. The living area is sunken and furniture is placed accordingly, in order that fishes in the pond are visible at eye level. The kitchen, dining and living are planned around the koi pond.
On the first floor the family room with full glazing was planned to face the airport. A huge balcony was planned on the West side to cut down on the heat and also to have the view of the airport. This balcony would act as a buffer from the habitable space and exterior area. The residence comprises of five bedrooms, a media room and gym in the terrace.
