The single-family residence is designed for a corner site, bordered by roads on two sides and neighboring houses on the other two. The house's concept focuses on providing privacy for the occupants while incorporating interior gardens, a water feature, and double-height spaces to create a spacious and airy feel.
The double-height spaces play a crucial role in the design, making the residence feel more spacious and airy. These areas allow for better air circulation and enhance the visual connectivity between different levels of the house. The tapered skylight, positioned at the center, ensures that indirect natural light permeates throughout the house, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day and creating a warm, inviting ambiance.
To ensure privacy from the surrounding roads and neighboring houses, the design incorporates high boundary walls and strategically placed windows. The large windows are equipped with custom-designed brick jalli screens and creeping plants, which filter light and provide ventilation while maintaining privacy. This combination not only adds an aesthetic appeal but also helps in reducing the heat inside the house, making it energy-efficient.
